More than 25 years of building, selling, and delivering the systems operations teams run on.
David Hoff founded Intellisolve to give mid-market operations teams something they rarely get: one engineer who understands both the process and the systems underneath it and stays long enough to make the fix stick.
He trained as a mechanical engineer at Georgia Tech and has spent more than 25 years in technology consulting. At Optimus Solutions he built a real-time B2B ecommerce site on a legacy AS/400 back end, then ran a $2.1 million consulting practice that grew more than 30% a year, delivering messaging infrastructure for Fortune 100 companies in beverage, home-improvement retail, and automotive.
In 2008 he co-founded Cloud Sherpas (acquired by Accenture) and served as its CTO, helping grow it from three founders to 1,200 people and $125 million in annual revenue. Along the way he built SherpaTools, a Google Apps management suite used by more than four million people.
After leading Accenture's Google practice, he spent nearly seven years at Google Cloud. He first ran professional services for Fortune 100 customers in the Southeast, then owned consulting portfolios for Fortune 50 companies. That work included FinOps and cost-optimization programs for several of the largest US retailers, a global logistics carrier, and a major credit bureau. He also helped move a major retailer off an aging ecommerce platform to Kubernetes, with 100% uptime through Black Friday and a COVID traffic surge.
He joined Onix in March 2024 and is now its Global Delivery Executive, leading delivery of enterprise Google Workspace and Google Cloud programs, including large Microsoft-to-Google migrations and generative AI implementations.
That range is the point. David has built software, run a P&L, scoped and contracted the work, and delivered it, from the startup side, the global-consultancy side, and the cloud-provider side of the table. For an Intellisolve client, that means the Fractional Forward Deployed Engineer in the room has seen how documents and data really move through business systems, from legacy back ends to modern cloud platforms. He can find where a process breaks and work inside the systems the team already runs.
He has earned Google Cloud certifications as a Professional Cloud Architect, Associate Cloud Engineer, Cloud Digital Leader, and Generative AI Leader, along with FinOps Certified Practitioner, Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals, and Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals credentials. He is based in Atlanta.
